CW: splitting, new alters, etc.

okay! hi! it only took me like 3 hours to set up our blog page because i hate hate HATE javascript (i may be growling, you can't blame me). but it's here now! woo! i really should've written my entry before doing all that coding, i'm exhausted now, haha. but at least it's set up for the other gatekeepers once they want to add to it! i'm thinking some general updates to peek behind the curtains would be interesting to add, but who knows what other people might do! massive shout out to chatgpt for getting the time conversion to work for me fhakjfa

alright, getting on with it. we've been very slowly working through a backlog of about 40 alters that were... hidden from us, i suppose? it's kind of difficult to explain. they're on a ship similar to ours (we're calling it the gemini because it's funny that way), but they were like... phased between us? so we had to un-phase them and now we're doing the very painful process of introducing them on the nepehele. we've gotten... 3 intro'd. after about a week. which is... very very slow by our standards. we also got a new alter in that time period, but he was in the main system, not on the gemini, so that was a bit easier to handle.

the way we're currently working through it is we're letting a few gemini residents come onto the nephele at a time and then prompting them to front once they're ready. unfortunately, the... spokespeople? for the gemini group are kind of... touchy... and don't feel too eager to front until they've inspected every inch of the ship... which... takes a while... we have one more spokesperson to introduce and one person who kind of just hitched a ride over to the ship to do and then we can actually start shuttling people over properly.

of the people on the gemini, including those we've introduced, there are 29 with names and 15 without. we're under the assumption that those without names are in a sort of... standby personality state? they're part of a "backlog". so, if we need a new headmate for whatever reason, instead of a painful split (which always, always sucks) xe'll just be... injected into one of the nameless ones. which... now that i'm typing it out sounds kind of harsh, but i promise it isn't fhkasdfkj

either way... it's a process to say the least. uziel and belial and i are trying to figure out a faster, more effecient way to do this without pushing the newbies too hard, but it's pretty fruitless imo. all i know is if we leave it put off for too long, it'll start having adverse reactions to the body. i'm honestly not convinced it hasn't already :(
