We're not very in-depth about our system on a lot of our accounts because... Truly, not everyone needs to know that much information, but since this website is specifically for systems, we might as well overshare a bit, right? Right! We still have some things redacted just for our own privacy, but this will probably be the most our system will ever be publicly described! Woo!! :D
Our main headspace can hold a very high number of headmates, but at the moment it's bouncing around in the 100's, with an inactive headmate count in around the same number range.
We were diagnosed with DID in highschool, but we have other origins than traumagenic. We have been a system since birth (our first headmates being a now integrated alter and Atlas), we have several walk-ins/visitors and soulbonds, and one deliberately created alter (T.E.D., who Jonas made!), which we simplify as mixed origins.
The system is polyfragmented, we have a few subsystems (headmates with systems as well as parts of the system that we cannot access), we believe in what the online community calls "parallel systems" from what I understand (think along the lines of symbionts in Star Trek?), we consider T.E.D. a thoughtform, we have a few subsystems that have median alters, and overall we consider ourselves quite disordered.
Our innerworld is based highly on the homesteader ships in Becky Chambers' Wayfarers series (they're explained in Record of a Spaceborn Few). We named our homesteader "Nephele", but we recently discovered another one that we can travel to! We're debating about what to name it at the moment. Our homesteaders are in the Narratus System, which has (we think) one star with 5 planets and 4 moons inhabited! Each planet can hold a population of ~100 while each moon can hold ~50.
Generally speaking, we can share control quite well if the headmates fronting are physically near each other in the headspace. Unfortunately, our memory isn't the best. We, the gatekeepers, try our best to distribute memories from people who are fronting to whoever needs it, but things will always slip between the cracks :(. We like to think we have decent internal communication between headmates, but it isn't always very reliable and we tend to speak aloud in the body to each other more often than not.
In person, we're out to our immediate family and our friends. At this point, we don't care who finds out, and we'll tell just about anyone if they ask. Online, we don't hide our systemhood, but we tend to not bring it up when talking to people just because a lot of us are shy, eheh...
